Mélanie Camiré is a Partner on the Indirect Tax team in BDO's Montreal office. She has over 20 years of indirect tax experience in the corporate sector and two major accounting firms.

She specializes in dealing with tax authorities, managing audits, filing objections and voluntary disclosures, and filing ruling requests on behalf of many clients. She also assisted many non-resident clients with their Canadian sales tax obligations. Recently, she was also involved in the new underused housing tax.

Mélanie takes a practical approach when advising clients. Over the years, she's presented at multiple conferences and led many training sessions for her clients. Since 2017, she has taught at the microprogram in consumption taxes offered at the University of Sherbrooke.
